I grabbed a RGB30 mainly so I could play my beloved Cho Ren Sha in handheld mode, ad while there are a bunch of other classic console shmups that really work well on the system the biggest surprise has been the availability of a range of great shmups on PortMaster - an inbuilt tool which enables you to play a range of PC shmups that have been ported to the system. Here are what I think are the highlights that make the bit of tech fiddling it takes all worth it:

Nizakashii's MagicVigilante + Klorets

Nizakashii's games, with their gargantuan pixels, are made for the small screen. I gained a true love for the magical girl, sword lancing experience that is MagicVigilante by playing it on the RGB30. The system starts to grind a bit when the screen gets intense, but i feel like it all really just adds to the experience.

Fire Arrow

I didn't actually realize that Fire Arrow was entirely different from Fire Arrow Plus - and i would not have discovered that I really enjoy the original if it wasn't for this format.

Zero Ranger

You better believe it. The palette of orange and green sings on the small screen.

Absolute Reflex

Absolute Reflex was one of the awesome entries for this year's Bullet Hell Jam and its already been added to PortMaster. Very appreciative of that.

Any other highlight games you think I've missed that people should know about? Because there are other ones. Let me know in the comments :3
