When you kicked around the doujinshmupverse a significant amount, it’s rare to find true gems that you didn’t know existed. Stella Vanity was one that somehow slipped past my view, and now I’m reaping the benefits of having found it, which is a joy.

The combination of magical girl and mechanical ship enemy aesthetics with a stylistic texture close to that of Blue Wish Desire actually gives it a very robust and unique character.

What I am enjoying the most of the moment, though is the game feel. Using the shotgun blast to take out larger enemies, and watching as the health bars diminish, and fluctuating between the general and focused shot provides a rhyme that’s really easy to get in rhythm with.

The scenario overall storytelling is also really quite strong with the overall node map, helping to reinforce the idea that you’re moving from the planet surface, progressively outward into enemy space facilities, and further from home.

You’ve never tried Stella Vanity before definitely recommend having a guy you can grab it at a very reasonable price on DLsite.
